This month, we are reminded that we belong to the Kingdom of Light. Scripture tells us that God has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. Darkness may represent fear, confusion, discouragement, sin, or anything that keeps us from seeing who God has called us to be. But in Christ, we are no longer defined by darkness. We have been given a new identity, a new direction, and a new hope. This month, let us remember that wherever the light of God shines, darkness cannot prevail. We are people of the light, and we belong to a Kingdom that cannot be overcome.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” — 1 Peter 2:9
